What are you eating if you are on a low sugar diet? High sugar foods are definitely a trigger, but I have not eliminated sugar completely. So I'm looking for low sugar (dessert) foods to tame that sweet tooth. Thanks!!

What about fresh pineapple?
very sweet, but it might bother you?
I can tolerate it ok

I pretty much eat meats, vegetables, fruits and some fats. Coconut oil is a favorite. It seems to help keep me feeling full, and provides an energy boost I believe. Being largely medium triglycerides, it tends to be an easier fat to digest.

A couple articles that might be of help are Dr. Eades's on starting a low sugar/carb diet. It can take a bit for the body to adjust to eating that way.

Nah, not really. To me at least it seems all the coconut oil I've bought tasted the same. I general purchase the least expensive brand on the shelf. I have talked with others though that believe different coconut oil brands can have slightly different tastes. If coconut oil works for you, trying different brands might be something to experiment with.

I am having the same issue (as a reach for a piece of chocolate). I never thought i had such a sweet tooth until i trying to give up sugar.

My daughter & brother both can tolerate berries if they're in the form of a well-blended smoothie, not whole form. Blueberries/strawberries are the least seedy, but they do fine with raspberries too. Blackberries cause some trouble and take a LOT of blending.
We use yogurt or kefir sometimes to make it milky, or dark cherry juice (full of antioxidants & natural anti-inflammatory) to stay on the fruity side.
Use honey for sweetener, maybe throw in coconut flakes &/or flax seed for fiber.
Add bananas, orange juice, oranges/clementines, apple juice, whatever other fruits you're feeling for.

Make one whenever you get the sugar craving. Also a great way to keep your vitamins in check.

ALSO, we keep frozen berries in the freezer & use them as ice cubes to sweeten our water. Better than juice with no sugar, and you can eat the berries at the end for a little fiber & antioxidants.

Your tastebuds will stop craving crummy refined sugar very quickly, and you'll stay full longer from high-fiber berries as well.
