Tell Dr.Phil about you and IBD

You may (or may not) remember an older post about The Oprah Show and IBD Awareness. Anyways that link can allow you to e-mail the Oprah show and let them know about your life with IBD, in hope that there will be a show spreading awareness about IBD throughout America (and the world).

I just also found Dr. Phil's show e-mail. You can Tell Dr. Phill about your IBD also, and we can then see which show is more receptive about having us all on .

Please take the few minutes to give an e-mail to both shows. This small act can help spread IBD awareness to many people, impact the lives of thousands of other IBD sufferers in a positive way, and may just get you to be on tv .

Will do it later this weekend! And I'm gonna mention the board, big time! Any show should post the board's address. I mean, it's not like it's so complicated people couldn't remember it! Tonya! You gotta back me up girlfriend! Dr. Phil will climb all over your family, Oprah could do some really good educational bits. We need to come at it from the human angle. People love that stuff!

Cool I'll email tomorrow. Remember to make the stories as detailed as possible and heartbraking because who wants to see just some story about a sick person, its not great television, but if you here of a sick person with a heartbraking story, well thats the stuff they love to see.

Just make sure that whatever you do, you tell the truth! No need to mention the forum here, as this is not about self-promotion. I think this is about a greater cause of IBD awareness, and that in the end of the day is more important then getting a "free advertisement" on one of these shows. Write your e-mails from the heart, and tell the truth. I am sure that we have enough horror stories between us that they do not need any dressing up .

I did a radio show on Thursday evening. A "fireside chat" type format, with a realtor and I talking about termites and termite reports for real estate transactions. The only thing that got me through it was that I kept reciting in my head: "It's a dull and boring business show. No one is listening. It's a dull ..."

I still got panicky twice, and lost my train of thought. The realtor was quick on the uptake, though, and helped me get back on point without making me look too, too, utterly stupid! :ylol2:
