Bought some to try. So how can I use it? Margarine substitute? Cooking? I just keep reading over and over how margarine is not good for us. I also bought butter for cooking to use instead. Ideas?

You can use a small amount for cooking like half a tablespoon and it really goes a long way. I prefer olive oil because it's healthy and I don't like my foods tasting like coconut n

I use olive oil often :) Good to know the coconut oil quite concentrated. Just trying to pick some healthier choices in hopes it will help calm whatever it is I have :(

Yeah a little bit goes a long way. Coconut oil is a great oil in many ways and is potentially anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial.

You can take it by spoon a few times a day for its health benefits. Cook with it like you would lard or any seed oil.

As said here it is a great anti-inflammatory! Good for energy also. I like olive and sunflower oil as well.

Just stay away from Canola. BAD sutff! it makes my guts turn!

I've heard people say they put it in coffee. Something like that sounds easier than by the spoon. My coconut oil always ends up in my bathroom for hair and skin. I need to get a second jar!

i take it for antibacterial purposes, only need a small amount like less then a gram. dont take to late at night it may make you more alert.

nogutsnoglory - Coconut oil in coffee is meant to replace the cream/milk. It was explained to me that when on a paleo diet it helps to increase the amount of fat consumed in a day.

Coconut oil is the bomb. I like scrambling eggs with coconut oil. The taste is awesome and this way I know I'm getting a reasonable amount of calories (and completely SCD/Paleo legal).
