I was wondering a couple of things:

1) when you have a flare-up do you have tenderness in your stomach around the cramp/flare-up? If so, what does that tenderness feel like? Is it painful to push in there

2) During a flare-up do any of you have solid....movements:shifty-t:?

thanks

1) yes, if I'm flaring you better not touch my stomach! Even if I'm having a good day with no cramping, in a flare my lower right abdomen hurts to press.

2) in a flare my bowel movements tend to either be porridgey, or rather hard and difficult to pass. I think it depends on what I ate.

Thanks! Do you generally have blood in your stool? I have never had that and was wondering if it was normal...

Nope, never had blood in my stool (though after a particularly hard stool there may be a small amount of bright red blood on the toilet paper, from hemmies or tears).

Hello :)
1) Definitely!! If I push it, it's like a really bad bruised feeling, whether flaring or not. When in a flare it's more like a knife!

2) Strangely yes too. I could have 1 good solid movement and then 3/4 water like ones straight after. Don't know why. I am also not a bleeder unless I am having a VERY bad flare or I've been to the loo too much and I'm just raw. Sounds silly but on a 99% thing, bright red "fresh" blood is ok (If you know how it's there sort of thing) and black/dark brown "old" blood is bad!!!

Hi!
1) I am definitely sensitive during a flare. I actually block my stomach from my kids and my dogs who love to jump on me. It it crampy any sometimes I get shooting pains.
2) I usually have bad D with blood (I have UC) when I'm flaring. The only time it's solid is if I'm on meds.
