Just counting my blessings today and want to thank you all for your advice, support, and willingness to share your kids experiences.
I think this can be a lonely disease since it manifests itself in so many different ways, but there always seems to be someone on the Forum who's been there and done that and that alone makes it all a little more manageable.
I know DS appreciates hearing your kids stories or how your child managed a procedure or med. Since we don't know any kids with IBD in real life, it's comforting to him to know he's not "weird" and "different". There ARE other kids out there going through the same things.
Last, I've had people tell me I'm overreacting, it's all in my or DS's head, that I'm making DS sick, blah, blah, blah. Whatever. They've never walked in my shoes, but many of you have and while it sucks that our kids have this disease, I am glad we're in it together.
