I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to everyone who has helped me since my surgery. Tomorrow will be 11 weeks post op and I can honestly say I have never felt better in my life! I have gained 25 lbs since I left the hospital. I was sickly skinny and honestly looked bad and sunken in and pretty much you knew I was sick cause I looked so horrid. It took everything in me to work my 40 hours a week and my dr didnt even know how I was doing it cause my Crohns was so bad. Since my surgery I am back at work and working over my 40 hours a week (I'm a social worker so there is a lot of work to do) and I have more energy than I have had in over 2 years. Everyone is stunned at how awesome I look and how much weight I have put on and how much energy I have and even color in my face. I am thankful for God for allowing me to meet the right doctors to help me and keeping me safe during my surgery. I am also thankful to everyone on here because this forum has helped me make it through some of the roughest days since I knew I was going to have to have an ileostomy. Mine is reversable but I dont even know if I want to have it reversed cause this life is amazing! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone cause I truly feel like life would suck without people to talk to who really understand what you are going through when they say they do!

Thanks for sharing CG. I'm at day 8 after surgery - your post gives me hope and happiness that I've made the right decision.
I can't wait to get back to work too!!

So happy to hear you're well on your way to a full recovery!!

Samboi, wishing you a speedy recovery as well

That is great news!! I'm so glad things have went well! Good luck to both of you. I just had minor surgery as well and feel pretty awesome and am starting to aim weight back as well! :)

I am so happy to hear you are doing so well. Life opens up again once you get used to the stoma routine. I never wanted a reversal because I've felt liberated from all the thousand trips to the bathroom. And having more control over my life feeling better and stronger. That first surgery saved my life and I am glad you did so well too
