Well, after waiting over a year and 1/2, I am finally going for my MRI today. (Okay..a year for a GI doc and 3 months for MRI and a few years before that to be referred to a GI doc).

Have to be there at 8:00 a.m and my MRI is at 10:00. Not sure what I will have to do for the 2 hours but guess I will find out!
Thanks everyone for helping me keep my sanity while waiting :) I may actually get some answers soon.

Thanks Dexky... I think...

The news I am hoping for is knowing what is causing the pain and weight loss so it can be treated.

Good luck! I don't remember how long it takes for results from an mri, but hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer.

Hope your MRI goes well and you get your results back soon :) Hopefully this is just the first step to finally getting some answers!

Thanks everyone! Never want to do that again!!
Took 4 1/2 hours but they are done! Have to wait a week for results.

Noisy bugers aren't they

still more comf than a colonoscopy tho lol

hope you get the results your hoping for

HAHA...ya, they are Rob.
I am being scheduled for a colonoscopy so I cant compare - just know I was quite out of it by the time I was finished and that was without the sedation for being claustrophobic. They need to warn you that the dye will make you feel like you wet your pants!!

...9:00 am I received a call from my G.I and they didn't leave a message (I have call display). I am scared to call them back as it has only been one working day since I had the MRI done. I need to be somewhere overnight on Saturday. I'm trying to think positive and maybe they are calling me to schedule my next test.

I have strictures in my lower bowel and have to have more MRI's. I already did the work up for it today. I have Crohn's disease.
