2 + 2 = 22?
Hi Ava,
I know it can be maddening to have thickening and ulcers, and at the same
time be told tests results are 'normal'.
That's just bad math!
My GI told me I had thickening as well.
I find that choice of terms particularly disappointing.
I find it much more meaningful to think of it as narrowing.
(which will obviously affect digestion which is really just a tube)
The stuff we drink for CT scan is a newer form of barium.
The IV is marker dye, often referred to as contrast.
Like the others, I agree that clearly you'd be wise to seek a fresh voice in this most important of puzzles.
One thing I do, is get my own copies of all my test results, which I carry to all my appts.
Start your own file, which you gather and control.
I no longer ask 'them' for my test results, nope, they can ask me if they need something!
This is not a game nor a paycheck for us, this is our one and only life, play for keeps.
Good luck on your quest for better answers,
and your quest to feel better too.
hang in there,
Walt
ps all this can make you want to scream!
