Badger has had pain bad enough to take his pain meds for 3 out of the last 7 nights. And last night he had an episode of urgency where he almost didn't make it to the toilet. No diarrhea yet but he's still having blood in his stool and he said last night was worse.

We are only 2 1/2 weeks out from his last Remicade treatment. His stool has always had blood even with Remicade.

He scheduled for Remicade again in 12 days. They 're checking remicade levels and HACA antibody levels at that infusion.

Trying hard not to worry.

Really sorry to hear, poor Badger! For both my daughters Humira worked better than Remicade.
We've also been talking to doctors about Stelara in case my younger one doesn't get better on Humira (she's on Humira for the second time).
I hope Badger feels better soon!

I'm sorry to hear that Badger is in pain. What dose of mtx is he on? He wasn't interested in the shots of mtx, right? I'm glad C had the mtx shots before he has tried humira because I'm afraid he would've never done mtx shots then since I've heard humira is so painful. C doesn't really feel the mtx shots at all, it is the only med I haven't had to harp about since he doesn't put a lot of faith in the folic acid, vit D or allergy med he is on.

I hope that the remicade brings relief.

So, so sad to hear that Badger is going through these difficulties. 12 days is a long time when meds are not working and you are in pain. I am really praying for him cause we are getting ready to take Makayla on the Remicade path as well.

So sorry to hear this. Hope he gets going in the right direction again soon!

What dose of Remicade is Badger on? Is it possible for them to increase the dose for next time?

I expect an increase in dose although it may not be until the infusion after this one depending on how much worse he gets in the next week. We are at 4 wks 5mg/kg.

The last remicade was only his 4th infusion. He had a dramatic response with the 1st dose when he was inpatient but only very small responses to the rest.

I suppose they may want to scope him too. We are scheduling an MRE for 3 weeks out.

Oh Patricia, I am so very sorry to hear that things aren’t going well with Badger. :(:(:(

I hope with all my heart that Badger is taking a little time to fully respond and perhaps some tweaking of the dose and the MRI prove it.

Can’t send enough luck and well wishes your way!

You are both in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear the Remicade isn't working. Hope they come up with a plan to help get things under control. Good luck for the tests

I hope Badger feels better soon:)
It is so difficult to watch our children suffer.
I really hope things turn around soon.

Hope Badger feels better and the remicade starts working for him. He has been through so much lately! Sending you both a hug!
