those of you currently crohns free- do you still have pains?

ive only ever had crohns in the large intestine and rectum- since having this completley removed ive been 100% but i get the odd pain im my tummy- probably only last a second at a time and i get this a few times a day....was just interested in hearing if it was normal to experience the odd discomfort/pain now and again or not??
my boyfriend who has no health problems seems to complain of a sore tummy more than i do, but was still just wondering.

waiting patiently on my small bowel series xrays to determine whether my leaking stoma is a result of puncture damage or fistula.

otherwise feeling great- still working full time, stuffing my face and enjoying life...at long last!

hope you's are keeping well!!

I think the small bowel series they are doing on you will answer your question. My crohns is located in the large bowel as well. But yes, I do get the pains in the upper bowel as well. I would think 'normal' for crohns as it can get us from mouth to anus.

It isnt fair is it?

But you GO GIRL, you are looking fab!!! And I'm so glad you are out enjoying life!!!!

Yes, I am in total remission, and I still get some pain. Some doctors call it functional pain and others lump it into IBS pain. Sometimes it is a gas bubble and it will feel like a flutter or the first kicks of a baby in utero.

So glad you are enjoying life. Isn't it amazing to work and still have energy to play????

Yeah, I've been getting loads of cramp pain in my upper stomach/side recently. Although touch wood, it's been better the last few days.

It's hard to know what's normal when you've had crohn's for so long! Glad you're doing well otherwise though :)

I don't get stomach pains at all, but I'm having horrible eye problems still. I guess the Crohn's feels the need to show up somewhere....

thanks guys, yeah think it could be just functional pain. and i agree with the fluttery baby kicking feeling.
....enjoying life, life is great- so happy :) enjoying my new job, very tiring but its so great to feel normal again, noone knows about my bag and i love just being part of the team :)
also, have started running to get ready for next years belfast half marathon- running for charity! (health-permitting of course ;) )

nyx, thats not nice- can they do much for eye trouble?
i recently found out i needed glasses for the first time for short- sighted-ness lol and now that i have them when i take them off i feel so blind!

glad to hear you are all keeping well, fingers and toes crossed we all stay that way! :) xx
