It is wonderful to know there are others with the same magnesium sensitivity that I have. Ever since the age of 19 when I tried to take prenatal vitamins and couldn't because of abdominal pain I have wrestled with this problem. My doctors have all acted like I was crazy and frankly they have just about convinced me of it. Every supplement I've tried in pill form has magnesium and all of the generic drugs have too much for me to tolerate. I'll admit I do have lots of allergies and for many years I thought maybe that was the cause of much of my trouble. I am able to tolerate the gel caps of vitamin D that I take but generic drugs are out of the question.

Anyone with a suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Hi there and welcome to the forum :)

Out of curiosity, do you have a form of inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis?

Have you ever been tested to see if you do indeed have a magnesium sensitivity? I've never heard of that before and would be curious what's going on. There are various forms of supplemental magnesium, do you react to them all? And what is the reaction?

Welcome to the forum Metoo.

It is very hard when you are made to feel different by doctors or other people around you, so glad you can take some comfort in knowing you are not alone here!

Hope to see you around the forum!
