Tips for taking TriLyte prep?

Anyone have any tips for taking the Tri-Lyte prep for my colonoscopy?

I can't imagine it could be any worse than the nasty Gastrograffin stuff I had to drink for the CT scans while in the hospital (had to do that twice!). At first I threw up once drinking the first glass and tried to chug the liquid. Bad idea. After that I drank it more slowly but in bigger gulps. I seemed to do alright drinking that stuff as long as I chased it with some kind of juice or Sprite afterwards.

My exam is at 11:30 am on Tuesday and I have to give them a urine sample too. I'm hoping I don't pee my pants trying to hold it until I get to the office, haha.

.....I haven't had that prep. But some people keep mints in their mouth to kill the flavor....Good luck. I hope goes well.

I Plug my nose to drink the Yuk !
Use a Shot of Mouth Wash quick, spit and rinse.
I also looked it up on Google, lots of Idea's there too.

i use like some neat orange cordial or some really thick orange juice, and make sure it is SUPER cold, in as little volume as possibe to mix it in...then bottoms up and have a tasty chaser like mouthwash or some more thick juice to coat your tongue with before you taste it....

i have to prep before my colonoscopy on thurs and dreading it already....

never get it right tho, still makes me wanna hurl...

When I had mine done, I was warned not to mix with anything red or orange because it would cause the insides to be red or orange making it more difficult for the doctor to identify problems.

I mixed mine with crystal light lemonade and drank it extremely cold. It still did not taste good but it was tolerable.

ahhh...that is true with the colours altho i have just been told not to mix it with anything red tis all...but yeah check your leaflet for the prep first before taking my orange cordial advice! lemon is a good idea tho....thanks for spotting that GI x
