So over the past 6 months my toes have started cramping. It can happen in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping, it can happen when I'm jogging, or it happens when I'm just standing there. My big toe shoots straight up & the other 4 toes all crosss together.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks!!!!

I get cramps in my legs and toes... not often... but enough that I notice them. I think it may be a lack of potassium... but it really sucks... Ill have my whole foot curl in, I'm afraid it may get stuck that way sometimes!!!

Well, I'm allergic to banannas, so that's not going to work LOL I drink cranberry juice every day, sometimes with vodka in it, sometimes not, but I will try to add the tonic water & see. :)

Thanks!!!!!!

I get this problem in my arms and legs when I'm on prednisone. I thought it was my potassium, but surprisingly it turned out to be my calcium intake. Once I switched to a more easily absorbed liquid formulation of the calcium, my cramps completely dissipated within a day or two. When I forget my calcium for too long, the cramps return and then fade quickly once I remember to start again. So if your potassium isn't the problem (be careful with potassium supplementation as it can be dangerous and you should talk to your doctor about this), then you should try getting a better calcium supplement like a liquid calcium carbonate. BlueBonnet makes a really good one that also tastes great.

I totally get cramping in my legs and feet as well. I thought it might be a lack of calcium (I'm dairy free) so i started taking calcium supplements, but it hasn't helped. I'll try to find a liquid calcium and see if it helps.

http://www.iherb.com/Bluebonnet-Nut...trate-Mixed-Berry-Flavor-16-fl-oz-472-ml/8878 That is the one I buy and the website I order it from. Personally, I buy two at a time to save on shipping, but they ship fairly fast and also have good overall prices for it. It _should_ be dairy free since it says it is at the bottom of the page. I highly recommend you try it since calcium supplements are always hard to absorb, even the citrate cause the pills are so damned large and can't be processed fast enough.

DISCLAIMER: That product has magnesium in it and WILL act as a laxative so you have to control your intact based on your bowel movements. If you have the big D DO NOT order this exact product and search for another blue bonnet calcium or similar type product without the magnesium. They do exist and shouldn't be hard to find.

Not saying this will fix cramps since calcium is the last of the electrolytes I would suspect, but the good news is taking a good calcium supplement is never a bad thing for us crohnies. Hopefully this will help you some.
