I just read someone else with this on here about a week or so ago! I had it too only it was on the bottom of my foot. It only lasted a couple days. Exercise your foot as much as you can. Stretch forward and then back and keep doing that! I got inserts for my shoes too. It's been fine now ever since! But I couldn't walk either. It was horrible. Hope yours goes away quickly!

Sounds like it could be enthesitis, which is inflammation where the ligaments and tendons insert into the bone. My son has been having problems with this in his heel. I would definitely request to have it looked at by a Rheumatologist. My son is currently on a course of prednisone to treat the enthesitis in his foot and takes sulfasalazine as a maintenance med for the enthesitis.

I would try to ice your foot several times a day and also try soaking your foot in warm water, especially first thing in the morning.

When my son's enthesitis is bad he uses crutches.

Hope you can get some relief from the pain soon. :hang:

Foot/ankle pain is the worst :( or at least my least favorite.

I usually get crazy swelling with foot issues but not always and whey protein was super helpful on a couple of occasions. Something about serum levels?

I won't pretend to understand but it did the trick.
