Already in 2008 they knew how to treat Crohn's with diet only. Like they said:

'But there is no profit to be made from explaining how to control diet, so trials receive no funding and no one ever hears about the treatment, even if it is more effective.'

I have a doctor who pushes drugs. If I stay with him, I will never get off Remicade. And yet, it's very difficult to change doctors here.

I was ready to do some big time eye rolling (The Daily Mail is kind of a joke over here), but in all fairness I read Dr John Hunter's book last year and found it very helpful. I did liquid only for 8 weeks and was never advised to add things back in one by one, I wish I'd known more about this then!

I didn't realize the paper is low rep. I read a lot of British papers because I think all ours are biased trash.
Anyway, that treatment sounds a lot like the elimination diet my allergist put me on years ago. For two weeks, all I could put in my mouth was chicken, potato, carrot, apple, rice, olive oil and water. Then I would add one food at a time and see what happened. Then add another food. The problem is, most people will not stick with it.

Yeah, to be honest I wouldn't rate any of our press over here anymore. The BBC isn't even unbiased anymore! The Independent paper used to be good but that was sold off a few years ago and isn't the same. The Daily Mail, The Daily Express and The Sun are probably the worst for sensationalism. They often have to print retractions, corrections and apologies for totally false stories but they are buried in tiny lettering halfway through, when the offending story was on the front page and the damage is well and truly done.

Also The Daily Mail has a reputation for changing its mind every week what will kill you. One minute red wine might as well be acid and the next it's the best thing since sliced bread ha ha! I take it all with a bucket of salt. Problem is half our print newspapers are owned by Murdoch who gets away with murder with some of the outrageous things he puts out there. But he's rich and therefore untouchable!
