I'm struggling to find any treatment (inflixamab) abroad! I'm currently in Scotland and me and my partner have been wanting to immigrate to Australia for sometime but can't find any information about how I could receive the treatment over there and how much I would have to pay. I've tried asking my consultant but he doesn't have a clue :( need help!!

The actual eligibility for Infliximab for Crohn’s here would be very similar to that of the UK, if not the same…

Infliximab eligibilty.

As to accessing the health system to receive Infliximab the key is to register with Medicare.

I assume that since you wish to immigrate then you are applying for permanent residency?

Also Australia does have a reciprocal health agreement with the UK so this should also work in your favour but I would shoot an email off to Medicare (contact info).

Good luck!
