Hi I need some advice I've had stomach cramps since Saturday they get sooooo bad I went to the hospital yesterday and they did blood tests and said they are all fine well today I'm still in alot of pain but I'm struggling to go to the toilet it's really hard to actually go but when I go it's not constipated what could this be?? X

Did they do any tests other than the blood tests? A CT scan or MRI? It sounds like it may be a partial obstruction. Have you called your GI's office?

Definitely call your GI. You're not bothering them - it's their job. Something serious could be going on and it needs to be found out. Like I said, your symptoms could indicate a partial obstruction, so it should be ruled out. Blood tests can be wrong.

It's like an obstruction, but your intestines aren't completely blocked off, only partially. Obstructions are caused by inflammation or scar tissue.

Yes, but that doesn't mean you can't have problems caused by scar tissue, or even that there wasn't a mistake with that test. Blood tests aren't always reliable in determining whether or not inflammation is present.

Hello, I was just wondering how long people would leave seeking medical advise for when not being able to go.....! Hi xkerryx. Could you describe your symptoms a bit more? How long has it been since you've had a bowel movement? Could you describe the pain that you get (sharp, dull, burning etc) and where exactly you feel the pain when it comes (upper left, lower right, any back pain etc)? Do you have any nausea or vomiting? Have you noticed any blood or mucus when you do have a BM? Are your BMs solid, soft or liquid? Do you have any abdominal distention?
Hello the pains is the right side of my abdomen last bowelmovement was yesterday morning it was a struggle to go it was between normal to diarrhoea sorry tmi! I don't know about the distention as don't know how to tell the pain is always there as but then gets worse it's painful and it's more of a sharp pain stops u in ur tracks xx
Would you say that only a little bit of stool comes out when you go or do you feel that you're having a full bowel movement? Does it seem thin like a pencil or flat like a ribbon? Clearly nothing said here is too much information. 
Before your most recent BM, how long ago was your previous one? Are you going once a day, once a week etc?
Distention means that your abdomen is larger than usual, like looking pregnant. Would you say that you have more gas than normal (including burping)?

Have you contacted your GI yet? Unfortunately, all we can do is offer suggestions. You really need your doctor to find out the cause of your problems in order for things to improve.
