*Sigh* Last night I had two chili dogs with my stepson that would have made Matlock jealous... Hotdog on bun loaded with chili, cheese, onions, relish, and mustard :mario2:

Now I'm paying the price :stinks:

Indigestion for 24 hours, red-eye, and a big lump on the side of my head...

What the heck was I thinking??? :yfrown:

I thought before eating the two chili dogs that it might not be a good idea but I felt compelled to do it... Will I ever learn?

I do the same thing with burgers. I love them so much, but only eat them once in a blue moon. Honestly though, i'd rather avoid the foods and live pain-free as opposed to eat the food, get mild satisfaction for about 20 minutes, and then feel gross for the next 24 hours.

I just did the same thing last night! I ordered a footlong hot dog with cheese and taco meat(yum!), but the good news is It didn't have any effect on me! Im eating my favorite foods over the course of the next week because I'm starting an elemental diet which means no food for a month! I'm just glad It didn't mean a trip to the hospital, and explaining to my doctor why I was there!

I hear that :) I just do this sometimes like I have memory loss til the pain hits and I realize what I just did lol

I paid for it the other day - had deep fried chicken tenders smothered in Franks' Red Hot Sauce...(ok, my mouth is watering now!).....

I can understand the indigestion, and even the red eye...but the lump on the side of the head? Do I dare ask???

Haha I get weird inflammation bumps on my skin and one sprouted on my head it looked like a bumblebee stung me lol its almost like an allergic reaction when I flare

This is my biggest problem. If I eat only liquids for a few days I feel incredible! And then I forget that the reason I feel incredible is because I am not eating solids, "I can eat this, I feel fine..."

Thanks for the laugh cuz it's so true :) I think I'm gonna try chicken wings in honor of this thread.

Yes. I have this same problem

I ate popcorn at the movies Monday. I'm headed into a flare. Well, have been but its hitting full force today. I just wanted to feel normal!

Hope you feel better!

Orville Redenbachers - and not that microwave junk, the good stuff from an air popper or popped in oil.

Stop making me hungry, Doug! I'm liable to check our pantry to see if there is any popcorn. Scott is at work, so he'll never know. I better listen to the still small voice. I'll pay for it.

I totally thought it would be okay to get just a chicken sandwich with a few fries from Burger King... And of course I'm paying dearly for it today... I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who knows better but still gets "memory loss" at the idea of a fast easy meal...

I am the same exact way. I didn't eat any solid food Monday and Tuesday and I got so much done. My first complete meal all week was tonight and I am REALLY paying for it...but I know I'll never learn! :lol2:

I saw this tread and though mmmmmm chili dogs, but I will resist I must be in decent shape to go see Harry Potter tomorrow so maybe afterward I know I will regret it but it sounds so yummy!

Because of this topic, I had chili cheese fries from Steak and Shake. Sooooooooooo good! I was going to go for the hot dog but thought the fries might be a teeny bit wiser of a choice. I hate to admit it, but it was worth it :)

I had just ONE slice of pizza last night and I'm paying for it right now (and it had extra sharp cheddar on it, not mozeralla!)

Hopefully the last trip to the bathroom evacuated all that was left in my system.

I always know when I'm straying off of my diet chart and think "Hope this isn't too bad on me" and usually if I pop a probiotic tablet WITH the food and then it's not too bad. I found a really good low-priced one that has 6 good bugs in it: Advanced CD's Accuflora

And an even better one that I ran out of (need to get more) has 10 probiotics, Vaxa's Reflora:

This stuff is amazing, fixes me up in about 20 minutes.

yeah I can eat foods like hot dogs, pizza, etc...its the good stuff and spicy stuff that gets me! Fresh fruit used to be my favorite and now if I have it it wrecks my system. I would rather have that than pizza any day. :p

I was feeling good this morning. At lunch I had a cheesburger, fries, and a Sierra Mist. Now I am just dying.... And no, it was not worth this!

Doug, it might be the fries... they are really hard on my system, I can do the burger (w/o cheese) and the pop, but fries are deadly to me every time.

I luv this thread. I am now thinking whats for t. Dont want chicken and mashed tatties anymore. Want a chicken kurma with cheesy nan bread and popadoms. Oh no. I think u feel like a rebal when ur eating food that u know u shouldnt. Thats why i do it. And also its always the good food that u luv thats no good for u. But sometimes it cant b helped. The food calls on u. x

I now know what one it was. Last Thursday had the same cheesburger with no fries... and it was not worth it (again) :shifty-t:
