Smoking it, and I really dont like to smoke, has cut my bathroom trips in half. It has gotten rid of all my cramping. And it has helped me sleep through the night with no bathroom trips. Hasnt done anything for my joint inflammation sadly. I want to try the oil form to see how that works for me.

My case may not be typical, but cannabis has put me into complete remission. I was making 25 to 30 trips to the bathroom per day. Typical meds ceased being effective and my GI was starting to talk about the possibility of surgery. My GP suggested trying marijuana. Since I'm in California, it was fairly easy. After just a few days, I was getting better. After two weeks, I was gaining weight and was down to one to two trips to the bathroom per day.

When I have no symptoms, I don't smoke. It's just not my cup of tea. I go without smoking for many months at a time and when I start to notice any symptoms, I find a strain high in CBDs (such as a Thai) and within a day or two, I'm back to normal.

As I said, I may be atypical, but that's what works for me.

I am very similar. Started smoking MMJ at 30 after my UC diagnosis. If I'm not symptomatic, I wouldn't ever care to smoke it. But it's helped ridiculously with my lack of sleep, appetite, and stomach pain.

I recently got a strain called "harlequin" and a strain called "CBD rich ATF" out here in San Diego. The harlequin has little THC and tons of CBD. About 1/5th the amount of THC in normal, good street weed (just for getting high) and about 500x the amount of CBD. Most MJ has about 0.02% CBD and 15-20% THC. The "CBD rich ATF" has 10% THC and 10% CBD. The harlequin has something like 6% THC and varies between something like 6-14% CBD. THC is what gets you "stoned" and CBD's are what treat IBD's. It treats my symptoms WONDERFULLY. We'll see in time how the CBD's treat the disease (have heard so many varying stories).

This week I lost 14lbs and ate nothing for 7 days. Very little to drink. Yesterday, I got the two CBD strains (and a very nice, expensive vaporizer -- smoking started hurting me badly last week, oddly enough and the vaporizer works wonders. It's the $600 volcano for reference) and it broke my fast. I go in for a colonoscopy and endoscopy in two weeks due to this flare up -- but now I can eat like crazy and feel so much better. My stool is still very loose -- but only once yesterday and once today. But, most importantly, I am feeling ALL the WONDERFUL symptom relief of the CBD and NONE of the psychoactive components from the THC! I have a 2 year old that me and my wife love being around -- so it's incredibly to be able to feel good AND still be able to be a dad to him 100%.

Feel free to email me if anyone needs some tips about specific strains (soooo many strains don't help so people just grab weed from a friend and get no help as it was the WRONG MJ. Remember, you are treating a disease so the MJ that regular potheads love isn't going to be what you usually need.
