so ive been having these severe abdominal pains and cramping for years now and boughts of diarreah and constipation i was schedualed to go for a bareum enema and i went and because i have pcos and dont get my periods he they would not give me the test so i got upset and just decided to live with the pain and suffering but now i have a new symptom im bleeding when i go to the bathroom and its not just a little spot on the paper it makes the water red im really scared and dont know what to do.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I would say you definetly need to go back to you doc this week - ideally try and get an appt with them on Monday - and get re-referred for some testing again, I would also expect them to be able to give you something to help with the symptoms. What you are experiencing is not 'normal' and it needs to be checked out. As with anything like this, the longer you leave it the worse it can get. There are tests other than the barium that can be done to try and get a definitive diagnosis so do not worry that you will have the same problem as last time. I hope things can be sorted for you really soon and know that we are here if you need us :hug:

Welcome to the forum, I'm glad you reached out for help.

I agree with Angrybird above. Get that appointment and get in with a gastroenterologist (GI) and get whatever tests are necessary to find out what's going on. IF you have IBD you need to begin treatment before things get worse. It's not something to be ignored.

We also have an undiagnosed club for people in the exact same boat as you. You can get a lot of support there.

Please go back to your doctor- bleeding like that is a red flag symptom that means you have more than just IBS going on, and you need to get tested to find out what.
