Well, we saw the new ped on Friday and she was great.
She wasn't concerned with Gracie's growth. She said b/c she's still like 60th and 40th percentiles it is OK she didn't have a big growth year -- her weight and height growth for this year was proportional, and so that was good, too. She said we'll of course watch it moving forward.
She did prescribe singulair for her breathing issues/possible asthma as it really simplifies our medicine routine, and she said it is also good for eosinophilic gut issues -- and even though they didn't find that for Gracie when they scoped, it could maybe even help her GI problems as well?
Her suggestion for our next blood draw was to hand-carry a written order from her for bloodwork to our MRE -- and ask them to do it when they do her IV while she's sedated which is BRILLIANT! I'm like DUH! Why didn't anyone suggest that before? So we can look at possible anemia, etc. then.
She also agreed that if she's doing a lot better we don't even really have to do the MRE but to wait to cancel b/c we might still want it. Also, she said after we see the GI doc to just call in and let her know and she'll call me to discuss, so I liked that too!
The bugger thing is I am not sure Gracie's doing as great as it originally seemed she was. :ack: I may have spoken too soon. Her bowels are still a bit iffy -- and this morning the pain was back. She said it also hurt in the middle of the night "really bad." Her appetite is not so great again, and she's having fatigue. On our 20 min. walk on Sat. she said she was so sleepy she could lay down right there. Today she was falling asleep in the car at 11 AM. :ywow:
So, we maybe moving forward with testing on March 1 after all!?
The fun news is she starts cheerleading tonight! She's so excited! I hope it goes well!
