Knocking on wood here as we cruise into our 3rd year of remission on MTX.

Badger was diagnosed in 2006 at 10 and it took about 2 1/2 years to get him into remission. He was on Humira and 6-MP. Partway through we switched to Humira and MTX. Once he had been in solid remission for about 1 1/2 years we stopped Humira and just continued on MTX.

Had a mini-flare last spring but increased his MTX slightly and got it under control right away.

No special diet but he drinks lots of water and is very clear that makes a big difference in his overall wellbeing.

He's reached 5'8" - Yeah!!!!!!!!!! For a long time we thought he wasn't going to see the bottom side of 5'5" so we are really happy with that.

He's 17 3/4, has to shave daily or he has a beard in 3 days, deep full voice and looks healthy, fit and happy. He is kind, compassionate, friendly, fierce in the face of discrimination of any kind, smart, mature in so many ways.

I could not be prouder or more thrilled. I am letting tomorrow take care of itself and staying focused on my gratitude list - with Badger at the top.

Fabulous news, that is so great to hear especially for those of us that aren't seeing the growth/puberty etc.
Hope it keeps on forever!

Great news! :dusty: I hope it continues for him (and you!) for a LONG, LONG time! :D
