update

My daughter had a repeat EGD and colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. I was in the room and watched the procedure. Everything looked normal. Dr took biopsies. So far, she is positive for H pylori (after being treated 2 months ago). He sent the other slides to Hopkins so we are waiting for the results from them. The dr wants her to see a GYN to r/o endometreosis. US has been negative for that in the past 2 months. She still has pain in the right lower abdomen. This past weekend, she has developed very bad sores on her chest, back, arms, face, and neck.
She has been on Apriso for 3 months and the doctor seems to think that she can have crohn's and the scope was normal because of the meds.....I am getting a little irritated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What do the sores look like?
There are some that are EIMs of Crohn's
H.pylori is way better to have than Crohn's I sure hope that's all she has! :shifty:

It sounds like her docs are on top of things at least.
Sorry I'm not more help, if you describe skin lesions maybe I or another on here can help more.
Hugs,

Thanks for the update hun...

Has Katelyn had any recent tests that visualise the small bowel where the scopes don't reach or to the right lower quadrant in particular?

As Julie has said, the sores may be an extra intestinal manifestation of IBD or perhaps she has an infection? Maybe a visit to the Dermatologist might be helpful??

Good luck hun and keep us posted!

They are saying its impetigo, so now on more antibiotics. They are going to wean her off the meds to see if her symptoms get worse and rescope her.
