I have been diagnosed for 10 years now with crohns of the ileum. I have went through a resection surgery approx 5yrs ago and also have had my appendix and gall bladder removed. Within the past week, i have been experiencing upper abdominal pain. The first time was enough to make me vomit and it had bright red blood in it. Tonight the pain is back, but not as bad. Has anyone else experienced this? On my last endoscopy about a year ago, it showed a small stricture in my resection site.

Hi,
I'm assuming you mean your last colonoscopy because an endoscopy could not see the stricture in your ileum.

But, it does sound like you need an endoscopy asap. I would be very concerned to see blood in vomit, along with upper ab pain. Maybe Crohn's has moved in the stomach and/ or duodenum. I've had it there but it's been quiet for years - maybe due to taking Protonix for years.

CDdad is very right blood is a bad thing. If you get a fever you might need an ER visit asap....dont mess around with that. I am giving you lots of hugs and support and I hope this isn't anything serious!
