Vitamin C

Right now, I have some kind of irritation in my throat. I am currently on Remicade, Synthroid, Imuran, Pentasa, Ditropan and Colestid. With all these medications that I have listed, will it hurt me to take vitamin C? Thanks.

I tried to find some info for you about Vitamin C and medications. But, what I found was pretty vague and didn't tell me much. So, I'm afraid that your best bet would be to contact your doctor and ask them about taking Vitamin C with these meds. Good luck.

Using the drugs.com drug interaction checker all of these drugs should be fine with vitamin C.

As for other interactions I'm sure you know Remicade & Azathioprine both suppress the immune system further.

Taking Synthroid & Colestod too close together can interfere with Synthroid absorption and effectiveness.

Pentasa may increase the effects of Azathioprone.

So in answering your question I found out more so just sharing but vitamin c is a go. Feel better.
