Hey guys i want to try some voltaren tablets at night for bad hip and knee pain that keeps me up. I looked at the label and it says if you have stomach problems to not consider taking it but my crohns isn't in my stomach but my colon and parts of large intestine is this still a no no for these tablets. Also one of the ingredients is aspirin and something else forgot for now. But would these be ok or will they make me bleed. I have been having twitches and bad headaches and forgetfulness from tramadol and it doesn't seem to take the pain away completely. So i tried it with panadol osteo and still had same pain

Voltaren is a NSAID (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) Ozboz and are therefore not recommended for use in those with IBD. It is due the effects that these drugs have, not just on the stomach but the GI tract in general and for those with IBD they do have the potential to increase disease activity and relapse.

Have you spoken with your GI about your pain?

Just re-read your post.. Maybe worth trying panadol+tramadol+topical voltaren gel. I also use that daily, and don't seem to get any systemic problems...

Yeah will try the voltaren cream see i have Ankylosing Spondilitis which is a form of arthritis from the crohn's and i have been having horrendous pain from it sorry forgot too mention

If you have Crohn's, all NSAIDs, including Voltaren and aspirin, are a huge no-no, no matter where the Crohn's is. I would ask your GI what he/she says about Voltaren gel before using that, too.

I'm sorry you're in pain, and I hope you find something that works for you.
