I couldn't find a thread that discusses this supplement anywhere, has anyone taken the 900 billion one? If so I would like to hear how things went for you. I started my first packet tonight and besides some pretty good heartburn, bloating and my stomach making more sounds than two dogs fighting over a bone it went well.

I used to take 4.5 billion but now I switched to another type, never had issues with VSL3.

My only complain was that there was some dried milk or something in there, I forgot what it was, and the fact you have to keep it in the freezer (some new spore types don't need to be kept in the freezer), other than that it's a very good choice.

Just curious, how much is this stuff? Either with or without insurance per month for various formulations--I didn't know there were more than one.

I priced it out via my insurance company they say without insurance its about $8000 a year. For the 900 billion one I pay about $1.10 a day so $30 for a month supply. It comes in OTC 100 billion or 400 billion I hear you can buy it at a decent price at Costco. The 900 billion one is a prescription that most insurance companies will cover. I have a 90 day supply so I will be trying it out that long to see how it does, I will report back after some time has gone by and I can really judge it accurately. I can safely say right now that the powder tastes disgusting.
