warm sensation in legs

Here lately I have been experiencing severe back pain, and within the last day or so The back of my thighs have this hot feeling to them like i just applied aheating pad. I had read that alot of people with crohns have spine or back problems and just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Can't help with the question, crystal, but I'm surprised no-one else has answered as I've read about a few people here having back and joint pains. I've had osteoarthritis in my left hip, which resulted in a hip replacement, but I don't know if it was related to the crohns or to the pred I took when younger. Don't know about the hot feeling, though

hi there crystal - sorry you're having this problem...back pain is NO FUN! I do get a lot of back pain too, but I don't have an offical dx of crohn's so I'm not sure if mine is related. I wanted to ask you - is the hot feeling on the back of you legs actually hot to the touch or just a sensation? If they are physically warm to the touch and/or red in color, this could be a sign of infection and you would want to call your doc. If it's more of a sensation, you may have a pinched nerve in your back and that could cause some funny feelings in your extremities. I would just bring it up to your doc though. Good luck and feel better!
