I recently had an investigation under anesthetic of my rear end and in my discharge letter it says i have a typical case of watering can perineum. I've never heard of this term before and there is nothing on wikipedia about it, so i was hoping one of my fellow crohnies knows what it is. Thanks:)

Thanks for that link Fairy but if anything, i'm even more confused now. Thankfully i've never had any problems with my urinary tract and all my fistulae and abcesses are all around my rectum:confused:

So, no urine from any fistulae at all? Maybe someone just entered the wrong diagnosis on your discharge letter. Yikes!

Either way, I hope you get rid of all fistulae and abscesses quickly. I've not had a fistula, but they must be miserable!

Thankfully not, that sounds horrible:puke_r:
It might be a mistake, i have an appointment with my IBD nurse tomorrow for a double dose of Humira, so i'll be sure to ask her about it then.

It could be a mistake or they may be using the term in a generic sense as a way of describing the appearance of the area.

I saw my IBD nurse today and she basically said what Dusty said. Surgeons and their crazy medical jargon eh:ytongue:

I guess it's similar to what one of the Surgeons described to me as "pepper pot bottom". Basically lots of individual external openings.
