Had a call earlier from our local health centre for my son to have repeat bloods as his wbc is low....didn't ask how low as we going tomorrow for his bloods again. I really hope it's nothing to worry about. He's been on mxt for 14 months now, had right hemicolectomy in December and had 2 weeks off his meds and we back again to monthly bloods. I hope it's just a wee blip 😞xx

I hope it is just a blip. I had lots of random wbc drops most of which resolved themselves. I hope he is the same way.

Been up worryng about this most of the night, it's never easy is it. Just when you think things going well after his resection, something else comes along. X

Yes I emailed them yesterday. That's the thing sascot....his bloods were 2 weeks ago and I'm sure if they were concerned in yorkhill, they would have called? I'm hoping that's the case anyway. Xx

I think you are right in thinking that if it was of concern they would have contacted you earlier dodie. The repeat bloods sound like they want a clarification of a below normal reading, but not a concerning one, to see if it is a one off. :ghug:

Good luck today hun, I hope all turn out well.

Dusty. xxx

Just been for his bloods and his wbc from 2 weeks ago was 4.2. A month earlier it was 5. I hope it goes back up again. Xx

A teeters back and forth with low WBC too. For her it is because her immune system tends to be deficient in multiple areas. Her docs aren't too concerned unless it drops below 4. Doesn't stop me from being concerned though so I totally understand your worries.

Aw Dodie I know how concerning that could be. We had the same with O once. Did the same thing, repeat test a few weeks later and she went up. Fingers crossed the same goes for your boy!

Hopefully back up soon. They are usually pretty good at phoning if there any issues so maybe it's expected to dip now and again
