Well, actually I do because we still have some blood in our stool :(. But I have my handy dandy flashlight which means I don't have to lean my head so close to the toilet anymore. It's the little things ya know :wink:
 
Glad to hear that you don't have Cdiff to contend with. I too have my flashlight in the cabinet next to the toilet. Mine is a headlamp, you never know when you might need both hands... :ylol:
 
Twiggy, I'm getting a funny visual on that!! One day we will all have to post pics of the "weapons" we use to get through this IBD journey. You will need to model the ole headlamp...LOL
 
Shelley, you aren't hard core if you're doing checks whilst the poo is in the toilet.
You know those big slotted spoons...:cool2:

Oh my! Hopefully, this is not the same spoon you use to stir the stew :eek2:! I'm picturing a little bbq style rack hanging in your bathroom with the spoon, fork and tongs....LOL.

Hubby handled getting the poop sample on Friday which included S pooping in his old plastic baseball container, a plastic spoon, a plastic bottle with lid, a pair of gloves, and a paper lunch bag. As he was walking out the door to take it to the lab he turned and said, "Really? Is this really our life now?" We got a good giggle out of it. Laughing is better than crying right!

Sure it's the same spoon, right into the dishwasher it goes...but TONGS are a NIFTY idea, THANKS!
I always take specimens to the lab in a Victoria's Secret bag :lol2:

Had a good laugh too - all the "tools" we need :ylol:
I always laugh at the doctors when they hand me this tiny little bottle to put the poop in. I just look at them and ask exactly how they would like me to catch it (I'm not using my tupperware)? Usually look at me like it never occured to them and hand me a sick bowl and tongue depressor!!
 
Shelley I would be very wary of Imaboveitall if she brought you lunch in VS bag! LOL!!!

Sascot.....we get a special specimen hat to put in with the toily bowl man to catch it all! LOL.....true! But it looks nothing like a hat hat! Maybe one with wings....airplane one not bird! LOL!!! Ok I'm outta here before I get too goofy! No sleep & my mind is not a good combo! Have a good day!

I was just reading through this thread and chuckling out loud to myself as I sit here alone... nothing like a good poop joke (or two) to start the day - thanks! :)
We have a "hat" too to collect AND whole set of plastic spoons and forks to get the poop in those little bottles in our house - we try to keep them separate from the picnic stuff...
