We have a date for surgery!

Well, the surgeon's secretary phoned me today with a date for Andrew's surgery - 2nd October. Even though I knew it was happening - I wasn't expecting it to be so soon . I want so much for it to work, but hate the thought of him going through it. Had a look on internet - you know some things you just can't un-see!!!!! :ybatty:
Doesn't help that the surgeon hasn't done it, so he really can't tell me recovery time/pain levels, etc. Oh well, such is life, keeping fingers and toes crossed that it will work wonders and make life alot better!

Hope it works wonders as well and with it coming up so quickly he can just get on and enjoy. Hope it is a quick recovery as well.

I know you mentioned possibly starting Remi, has the post-op plan been discussed? I guess if I had to choose, the earlier for surgery the better. Less time to drive yourself nuts! Best wishes!!

Hey sascot. , hope surgery goes well , I shall keep checking to see if there's an update I've heard about the plugs and done a lot of reading I've heard the success rates are really high and the need for antibiotics are less and less , will you be taking any biologics aswell I can't remember if Andrew has taken any before ,. Thanks for all the good luck wishes. For those that asked, he is staying on 6mp and will be put on Flagyl for a couple of weeks after surgery. We are saving biologics for the future.
:voodoo::voodoo::voodoo: Can you believe the secretary called today to cancel the operation date! Even after I asked her on Friday if the the equipment would be here and she "believed it would", the surgeon has said he doesn't think it will be here and they won't make a date until it arrives! . Poor Andrew was really upset and I am having to phone/email everyone and let them know its no longer on the 2nd. So now we sit and wait again. Why we couldn't just keep the date and see if the equipment comes in time I'm not sure!
