Hey
is anyone else on there like 10th cold this year??? Its almost May and i got this terrible head cold or sinus infection. Ive had 2 flu's, a couple throat infectons, and multiple colds - guess the immunosuppresants and prednisone have relaly taken their toll!!!

Funnily enough I've never been so long without colds and flu since I started on immune suppressants a few years ago (I'm knocking on wood here). I'm not on pred, though.

I thought it may be due to being more careful about hygeine and whatever, but my wife works in a hospital and always seems to be coming home with colds.

Don't know why this is

I must use hand sanitizer and wash my ahnd 80x a day - i do work in health care and frequently hands on face to face with people, plus i take the bus everyday which is a breeding ground for colds lol - guess its just inevitable - just sucks !!!!

I take the train a lot, and I hate that paranoia you get when someone starts coughing and sneezing neat me. When I've touched handrails and door handles I always try not to put my hands near my face until I've washed them properly... then I start worrying that I'm getting obsessive about it... I can't win

Maybe you guys are TOO clean!!!! you gotta build up anti bodies, I've not had a cold since last year (touch wood) but I've picked up impetigo 4 times in as many years!!
Told ya, I'm gonna get a mask!

i discovered a wonderful natural product years back, and it's helped me and my kids get over bugs/viruses quickly.. it can also be taken every day to boost your immune system - it's called Sambucol... http://www.sambucol.com/

Ding! My mom just sent me a bottle of that. I have yet to break it open.

Mark - Have you ever been tested for allergies? Before I was diagnosed with Crohn's I would get frequent sinus infections and sore throats, but I was in denial about getting checked out for them thinking they'd just go away on their own. I eventually developed walking pneumonia and saw an allergist. I now get monthly allergy shots and haven't had a cold since! It's been 3 years now.

I get a cold/sinus infection about once a month. Unfortunately, I usually end up having to take antibiotics. I actually haven't given my Humira shot for two months because I'm sick of getting sick. I'm sure my doctor will be disappointed when I see him in two weeks.

I also work in Healthcare but I shouldn't have that as an excuse because I work in administration and rarely spend a lot of time around the patients.

I get sick constantly. I'm thinking of getting my tonsils removed because I get a lot of throat infections including strep throat throughout the year. I stopped getting the flu once I stopped getting flu shots about 5 years ago. Go figure.

The magnesium you are taking CrabbyRelish is very important for proper immune system function, and virtually all other body functions. Lack of magnesium also causes inflammation in laboratory Rats.

A person gets sick depending on what you are exposed to. The severity and length of the illness, is largely determined by how well your immune system is functioning.

Prior exposure also helps a lot with how the body deals with a pathogen.
