IBD and kidney problems?! Yay double the fun
I'm undiagnosed. I have IBD which is obvious.
But now it's come to the doctors concerns that I have bad kidneys too.
I've been sent for urgent tests in hospital.
I'm seeing one doctor for the IBD and now another doctor for the kidney issues.
We don't know if they're related or not.
It was to be expected that one day I would have kidney problems because as a young child I got HSP. It can affect your kidneys in the long term... yay!
I'm in more pain than I should be and peeing blood and on five different medications now.
But gutted. Especially when in September 2011 I went to the doctor with worries about my kidneys and the doctor checked me over and said it was just my muscles. Well if they'd sorted it out there, then maybe I wouldn't be peeing blood and in pain! Safe to say, I no longer see that certain doctor.
I was sent for an urgent blood test because the marker on blood tests that shows inflammation is out of 11. A healthy person will have this test and the marker will be 11/11. My marker is 35/11. I have proof of this IBD finally!
Argh, what else? It's midday and i've been to doctors for an hour, hospital for two hours, pharmacy for half an hour. Fed up. And mum had curry for lunch which I can't have because of the onions and garlic in it, so i'm even more grumpy. ANDDDD the nurse burst my vein on the left on because no blood would come out, so she was jabbing at it. Luckily I always asking for fine needles because we always have problems with my veins.
And breath!
