When I first got Crohn's I had major D along with a lot of blood and severe pain, tried all meds. When I finally was put on Remicade 10 years ago, I never had major D again but definitely had pain and fatigue when medicine wore off. I went from getting infused every 8 weeks down to every 4 weeks over that 10 year period. A new doc. due to moving out of the area, switched me to Cimzia, because he said if I had to take Remicade every 3 weeks then it wasn't working any more. Since I've been on Cimzia for about a year and a half now, I don't think that I'm really in remission. I have good days and can do a lot, then I have bad days where I'm in severe pain, stomach swollen, nauseous and fatigued, today being one of many.

The last 3 months, it seems like i'm not in remission at all. This month especially, I had a bad attack, what I call it because that's what it feels like, two days after my monthly shots. Since then I've been having more bad days then good days. My doc. insists that the Cimzia is still working and wants to do another Colonoscopy before he will take me off of it. He also insists that I have IBS along with the Crohn's and that's why I have so much abdominal pain all the time.

Instead of D i have constipation, and then when I finally do go, I can't stop, loose stools, until I take anti spasmatic meds, pain meds and lay on right side with heating pad. Even though I've been living with this disease for over 11 years now, I can't understand what is going on. I would love some feedback. Thanks!
