Has anyone else noticed during a flare changes in there urine too?
Mine has been the funkiest colour for ages now. Its almost green and really not pleasant. I've already been treated for a "kidney infection" that turned out not to be a kidney infection. Been in and out of hospital and not been able to understand what is causing the blood and protein in my weird looking pee. No sign of kidney stone or anything else wrong with my kidneys.

Starting Infliximab on the 12th so really don't want anything to further set it back as I need to get on it. Been on 40mg of pred for 5 months now and hating it. The shakes are getting too annoying now and the moon face is beyond a joke.

Also my tongue is all breaking out in ulcers and I have a thick white line all around the edge of my tongue today! I also have big nasty red spots breaking out on my hands and shoulders?! Dunno if its at all related.

update on the tongue: Just had another look and the edges of my tongue looks all wavy...like all crinkly....weird

Roll on the 12th DOH!!!!

It could be the meds causing the pee issues... Mine looks toxic bright yellow-green colour since I started taking aza
I have a tongue like that too... Its been suggested perhaps vit/mineral deficient?? I took my GI photos of it because it comes and goes, he put them in my notes and did no more about it!
Let us know if they come up with anything!!

Are you taking aza. Mine also has been almost fluorescent since taking aza.

Your tongue may be related to iron deficiency/b12/folate deficiency so you should get that checked. Also you could get a tongue swab taken as oral candida is common if on immunosupps. particularly prednisolone.

Yeah I do take aza I asked the docs if that was the cause but he said it wouldn't be the cause of the blood and protein. As for the tongue I get my bloods taken tmoz so I'll ask for them to check everything cos my tongue is SO sore! Thanks for your help

For sure the aza won't cause the blood and protein. Have your specimens ever grown any bugs?
If it continues and there is no bug grown you should ask for a referral to see a renal physician.

I would for sure demand/insist to see a urologist as blood and protein in the urine (in absence of an infection) are not normal.
