Hey, just wondered what painkillers and dosage of them people are taking? I'm in almost constant pain ranging between 1-10. Every now and then I get about an hour if that with no pain. I'm taking 100mg Tramadol and 30/500mg co codamol but it doesn't seem to work much anymore.

Thanks!

Titan,

I almost died from Crohn's, I am no hero though, the best advice was from one of my GI Docs. "if you need pain meds, ur disease is not in control, and you need different treatment for the "root cause" which is the disease not Pain Meds to MASK the bodys response to a "tissue issue"

I hope u understand...

Although, The pain is still there and I'm up for a review in early July. Although that appointment is for the azathioprine and checking my bones and blood and what not.

What else can I do?

My husbands GI doesn't believe in pain meds. He says they are a bandaid. It is very frustrating. The only way to get relief is to go to the ER. The er will sometimes give him percocet which helps some. He is in constant pain when he flares too. Someone suggested we see a pain management dr so we are trying to look into that
