I've been stuck in a flare for almost 3 weeks now. I've been eating very minimal. Up until 3 days ago I started gut rest. When should I stop the gut rest approximately?

I'm curious too, what's do you do for gut rest?

I just drink room temp water for a couple of days and then introduce soups, then plain solid food. Although this time my gut is being stubborn and doesn't really like any food of any consistency! Oh and my nurse told me to only eat white food.......

Yeah, liquids that are translucent. I am eager to eat even applesauce for crying out loud haha. It's thanksgiving here in Canada, and with the aroma of that has me absolutely starving. Sucks missing out on thanksgiving dinner, but I'll be having a makeup when this is all over.

It can be dangerous to be on a liquid diet without doctor supervision and it shouldn't be any longer than 3 days. You risk malnourishment if you aren't getting the proper vitamins and supplements and that itself weakens your body's ability to fight resulting in an even worse flare. You can try the BRAT diet to ease solid food back into your system. (Bananas, rice, applesauce and toast) start out slow. Eat only a portion of one item at a time and see how you feel. Have you been to your doctor recently or had any blood work done?

Yeah, they did my blood work when I went to emerg the other night and my blood came back perfect. But I have lost a lot of weight, it's been roughly 3 weeks since I've eaten anything more than toast, and toast was over a week ago. My bowels are moving again so I'm going to try the BRAT today see how it goes. It seems the enormous air bubble I had is gone as well. Thanks for your responses.

I agree with afidz, a few days on liquids is ok but after that it's dangerous. Please make sure to incorporate sage sources of fats and proteins. Also consider a multi.
