When u have a Crohns flare where does it hurt?? Mine is kind of strange..it hurts right under the bottom of my rib cage..mostly on the left side. That just seems weird to me. The remicade has made a world of difference.

Mine is in my joints, making it difficult to function. But, internally it's under rib cage; as well as, lower left quadrant which spreads to right side. It's really hard to pinpoint the exact location as the pain is so intense that it feels like it's encompassing my whole abdomen :(.

The bottom of your rib cage, on the left side is where your stomach is located. The stomach/duodenum then extend over to the bottom right of the rib cage. Where did your doc say your crohn's was located? Glad the remicade is helping you. :)

My flare pains are in my lower back and I can literally trace the pain on my body as the food and cramps travel around the colon from my terminal ileum to my descending colon.

I try to study images of the digestive system and their location in my body to help me better describe to my doctors where my pain/discomfort is.

That is exactly where I have been having pain for the past 5 weeks, my doc thinks it's odd.
