We must all be out enjoying the summer!!! It's been dead in here lately...

So, what has everyone been up to? Myself, I just got back from a week of camping, and am going again August 11 for a week. In the meantime, I'm just staying in and trying to keep cool...it was 45 Celsius here today!

I've been neglecting this forum as of late. Last week I was on a retreat and then went to Atlanta for the weekend. Been really busy trying to get everything set to go off to school. I hope you and everyone else are doing well.

I've been here, mostly just reading... I was gone for a couple of weeks at the beginning of July, though, I moved to Quebec! Has it ever been hot!! Phew! Glad to hear you have been enjoying the summer, Cindy.

I'm here. I check in daily to see if someone has a concern that makes me go "me too". But you're right, Cindy, everyone's off enjoying their summer (hopefully!). Unlike you folks in the mid and Eastern section of Canada, we in BC have had a cold and grey summer so far.

I've been busy trying to control the various abscesses that have been showing up near my stoma, trying to figure out why I still have so much abdominal pain, and feeling good about the fact that I'm getting stronger each day despite some of the setbacks.

I woke up this morning to my first 'blow-out.' *That* was an interesting experience.

Now, to answer the question of what I've been doing: learning how to knit while trying to keep from smoking. Reading. Trying to figure out whether I want to return to school in September or if I'm over-reaching.

Thanks for asking, Cindy---I notice that I'm the most long-winded of all of us!

Here!! I am having a flare. Not happy about it but there it is. First flare since the surgery. Thankfully the toilet visits have been few, after all with a bag it DOES make things easier! (funny...the flare happened right after the colonscopy!)

On a weather note, its been cool and rainy here....I know ya'll are jealous, it's a windchill of 48 degrees here and drizzling. A lovely summer in England. (must get that boiler serviced!)

I'm here, albeit very rarely these days.... just taking the summer off, as H was giving me a bag of shit (hahahahaha!) about being on the computer so much and I didn't want the summer to go by and me miss spending as much time twith him as possible.

But I am doing well and hope you all are too - Misty, sorry to hear about your flare. Stoopid scope. Hope you start to feel better soon!

I do miss you all and while I want the summer to last, I look forward to coming on more often.

I've been enjoying my summer. We went on a couple of camping trips and have been doing work on the house. I started a second job and have been working my butt off. It will hopefully turn into a promotion in a couple of months. I feel great!!! My ileostomy is not slowing me down! I helped take down a combative inmate at work the other night who is 6 foot tall and 200 pounds. ( I'm 5 foot 4) I kicked ass! I pray that my good health continues. I have sooo much living to do with my kids, husband and job

No, I'm not in Bedford...bit further south, but not far. My grandbaby Amber is in Bedford though!

Well, Mr. Burns prevented me from experiencing any new normal with an ostostomy whatsoever so when my doc oFfered me a reversal I said HELL YEAH.
I have been holed up in hospital for 11 days. Waiting for myguts to wakeup. This is definitely the most difficult surgery ever. I hope I did the right thing....
Cant wait for fooooooood.

Glad to see everyone enjoying their summer.

We got back from a couple of weeks in Mauritius 2 weeks ago. Even though it was the start of their winter it was rather sunny and warm. Went over to the
coast at the weekend for a couple of days here. Certainly enjoyng the summer so far!

Good to see some pop in for a post or two! I have been busy with the hubby golfing and his holidays were for 6 weeks and goes back on Tues, yes he is still alive!! LOL. I have been laying low, not sure I will ever be back actively. If I see someone in trouble and no one responding I will help out. Just felt I wasn't needed on here much and just got a Crohnicle newsletter today, so I peeked in. I am doing ok, have a Gi appt on the 16th for a follow up. Good to have a time out, well needed.
