White count went down, sed rate went up

So my 14-year old daughter was just diagnosed (my older son was just diagnosed a year ago!) and she has a mini perf and abscess on the small intestine. Her white count a few days ago was 13.5 and today it's 9. Her sed rate was 33 and now it's 47. I'm glad the white count went down but why did sed rate go up!? Does this mean her infection is going away but inflammation went up? Is that a big jump?

They haven't done any follow up scans yet. Her first scan a few days ago was "significant" and looked identical to her older brother's scan from last year when he has his fistula so based on that and her sed rate we have a diagnosis of Crohn's. They don't want to scope her with the mini tear but want to start her on either Remicade or Humira before we leave the hospital. So the one number going up and the other going down has me confused.

They measure two different thing and are independent on the results of the other
Sed rate measure how the body is fighting inflammation or infection over a long period of time weeks not twenty four hours
WBC just infection primarily at the moment
Within twenty fours

Crp changes within 48 hours
