White spots in stool?

Crohn's Disease Forum

Help Support Crohn's Disease Forum:

My daughter has had them the past week. Thankfully, she took a picture for me and we showed it to the Dr. He believes, in my daughter's case, that the white spots are pus. i don't want to alarm you, but I thought I'd share since we are literally going through it now. Hope it helps.

Ya, for Grace is was pus BUT if it's more like globs it was mucus.
Of course it could be parasites and or their eggs.
Can she do a stool test?

I'm actually not asking regarding Jaedyn, but another child, but certainly tests can be ordered.

Ya, it the world of poo theirs specks, spots and globs of white.
Oh, Grace had a stool that was all whitish.
I'm sure theirs more but Grace hasn't had those yet.

O gets those on and off. The first time I told doc and they were unimpressed. Since I just ignore until some other stuff starts happening.

This came up recently - I thought MLP said something about suppositories? I think?! MLP - help?

(My son got them with Pentasa also... are any of her pills capsules? Little white dots inside?)

Canasa suppositories can cause white stool or globs as well many hours after it has been administered.
barium makes stool white.
As far as not drug induced white stool can be a liver issue.
Ds has had all white stool or streaks sometimes
GI was not concerned when I told him since it was not a daily thing and Ds's liver numbers are always checked.
