who will help with paying for treatments

Hello my son is 22 and in bad shape he needs remicade treatments now was wondering if anyone knew of any finacial assistance for this??:sign0085:

Not sure about Remicade but Humira has financial help from Abbott...I pay $5 a month for my injections b/c of the help...Humira is one of the other biologics...maybe check with the maker of Remicade...if there isn't help maybe see if the GI is willing to go with Humira instead

my son is currently in hospital right now.. they said his colon has attached to his bladder but he has fistula pretty bad right now and they cannot operate until he is in better shape the doctor said remicade and I believe another drug didnt catch the name of it but I will know tomorrow

There are a lot of great people on the forum who are on Remicade...I am sure one of them will be on to post soon and be able to help you far more than I can.

I hope your son begins to heal quickly...I know it must be very hard for you as his mother to see him so ill...hugs!

A link with a bunch of ways to get help paying for remicade.

Also if hes in the hospital he can apply for assistance with them. Hospitals set aside a fund for patients who need emergency medical care but don't have the funds or insurance. I'm not sure it'll cover remicade at all even the first dose but it's worth a shot.

And lastly if he meets or isbelow poverty level hecan apply for mediciad

I will try Medicaid ssi and anything else I can do for him I just know he needs help getting well and then he has several surgeries to do
