MEN LOOK AWAY heheh

Women, I have some questions. Do you tend to bleed more from your rectum when you are on your period?

I'm about to give Too Much Information ...

If I ever have to go #2, I remove my tampon, because it's more comfortable for me. So, this allows any blood from my girl parts to get confused with (if there is any) blood from my rectum.

I don't have rectum blood very often, but it seems like any time I'm on my period I do.

This last time i just went #2, I removed my tampon and knew my flow was getting light anyways. I go #2 and the toliet is filled with blood. I get nervous, and wipe my girl part first, no blood, and then wipe my bum and there's a mess of blood. Like. - almost Period looking - blood. Dark yet bright at the same time. And a lot. I could see some poo on the paper as well, so i can only assume the blood did indeed come from my rectum.

Now I am in an anxiety state because of all that blood. I don't know if I should text my nurse and tell her, but what if it was just period blood that could have went and dripped back towards my rectum.

Can anyone shed any light?

Im new to Crohns...Is this an emergency if there was that much blood?

Could my vagina and rectum be combining? Ive heard stories of some women going #2 out of their lady parts?!

I had a normal bowel movement (as most usually are since I started Remicade...) but before going I did feel constipated.

Thank you for listening to such.... gross, weird things.... I have no one else to talk to.

It could be the blood combining. Also consider when blood goes into water it spreads, making it look worse than it is. That said some women (myself included) have worse symptoms when they are on their period so it could actually be worse bleeding. There is such thing as a recto-vaginal fistula I believe but I wouldn't get too worried about that. It is more likely to be either combined blood or you get worse symptoms on your period.

Not an emergency, but I wound let your GI nurse know anyhow.
