Thanks everyone...I'm scared and nervous, but excited at the same time. I got to thinking today that I haven't been in school in over 20 years and textbooks were a fortune then...I'm shuddering to think what this is going to cost....lol

Chegg.com will be your best friend for text books. Saves me $300 to $400 a semester on average and it is very easy. Also check out ratemyprofessor.com, it is also a BIG help.

Yes, definitely check online for your books. One I recently had to buy was $120 new and $54 used at the college bookstore, and $16 used from one of the dealers selling through Amazon.com. Search there 1st by ISBN number!

Hmm...as someone who's been rated on that site, I'd like to point out that there is potential for a lot of hate on that site, there can be untrue comments (ex: I return ALL e-mail messages within 24 hours and yet get comments that I never respond at all), and there are comments based on prejudices. For example, people with the slightest bit of an accent outside of the standard for the region (not me, but people I know) tend to get dinged especially badly.

I only found one person there with your last name, a psychology prof in Ottawa (I seem to recall your mentioning this was your field?) but with the 1st name of "Kimberly". If that's you, I don't know what you're complaining about. You got an overall rating of 5 (top figure) AND a CHILI PEPPER for HOTNESS!!!

@ Kelly HAHA... I use to go to that site and realized that if someone got a bad grade for slacking off, they would post a bad review. Not entirely reliable as Kelly says. Although I do like the doctor version one they have. I was convinced my docs family left all the comments for her.
