You guys, I have been so happy! I've felt so normal in this past couple of weeks, more normal than I have felt in a long time!

Yesterday I had a prauline! I thought I would have to skip those this Christmas, but my Dad made me some, and they were so delicious! So, they are like pure sugar, for those of you that don't know what prauline is, and so far no problems. I ate two last night, and one this morning, and I have been to the bathroom normally with normal BM's!

I also had chocolate covered pretzels... But only three! I couldn't help myself. I know that this is way overboard off the SCD, but it's the holiday season, I must indulge a little! I mean, this is a lot less indulging then what I did last year. I practically stuffed my face with chocolate and a soda everyday!

Needless to say, I'm doing good these days! I'm thinking I will be able to go back to school full time next school year, and I am adding on one more class that is a semester long, a creative writing class. So, that will be fun!

P.S. Does anyone else feel sad after they eat sugar? I have noticed that I don't feel bad, like a flare after sugar, but it makes be depressed sometimes. Chocolate doesn't do that, but I noticed with other candy it does sometimes.

It's great to see you feeling so well!!
Merry Christmas!

Thanks everyone! I haven't been on recently because I have been spending time with my sister who is down from college. She leaves Saturday. Happy New Year everyone!

Congrats, glad to hear someone else is doing well too. I've been much better the past week or so as well, surprisingly with al the stuff I've been shoving in my face! How long have you been on LDN, I've been at full dose for about six weeks, wonderring if it's finally starting to kick in. Hope you continue to feel well!

Take care,

Miss

Hi;
I was wondering what isLDN? and what is Prauline. Sugar is one of the things that I have a hard time living without. I have to eat it with something else like Gluten Free Cake or whatever otherwise it hits my stomach, and that hurts, i remember years ago I was sugar free and felt great.

LDN is a drug that they are using with Crohn's patients. The drug itself is not new, but for the use with Crohn's patients is fairly new. Basically it helps release endorphins which help your immune system. Instead of shutting down your immune system with steroids, it bolsters it, and heals it.

A prauline is just a candy that is pure sugar, with pecans in them. They are so bad for you, but so delicious!

Miss - I have been on a full dose for a long time, since November I think? Anyways, ever since I got off of entocort, and on to LDN in combination with my diet, everything is going smoothly!
