I'm getting really worried. I have been having a lot of pains where the GB is located, yellow urine & clay colored stools. Only issue? My gallbladder is already removed!! I got it removed in 8th grade due to gallstones & now all the symptoms are coming back. No matter how much water I drink, my urine is dark yellow. I'm really worried. I started Sulfasalazine a month ago & I'm wondering if it's messing up my liver? I get my first bloodwork since being on the drug, on wednesday.

Has anyone had these symptoms? My skin is a tad bit yellow but it's hard to tell because I'm biracial :shifty:

Hi Keeping faith
Time for you to check in to the doctors.
You could be reacting to meds or maybe you have a virus
Give them a call tomorrow and get things checked out.
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

I agree with Trysha, talk to your doctor considering all your symptoms, but Sufasalazine is known to cause your pee to turn dark yellow. My guess is you're peeing out tons of folic acid.

I prefer the bright green pee my B complex supplement causes. It's much more fun :)

I hope you feel better soon!

I take Folic Acid regularly(at a seperate time than my Sulfasalazine). I went to Urgent Care, got my urine tested & other tests. They called my GI & it looks like my fistula opened up again..My GI prescribed me Cipro & Flagyl. He said if it's not better in a few days I need to go up to see him(4 hours away) so he can admitt me to the Children's Hospital up there again. I hope it clears up because the last time I was admitted, I was in the hospital for a month. I do not want my summer vacation ruined!

Sulfasalazine interferes with folic acid utilization, thus my theory :)

I hope the antibiotics work for you! Good luck!
