Hey guys,

I was hoping to compile a list of people's favorite MJ edibles (any kind). There are hundreds of ways to prepare them. Eventually I intend to test the ones that sound the most promising (say, half a dozen) and document the recipe in pictures so we can share it with other peeps who may want to try this route.

A step-by-step photo guide to some awesome recipes could be a great resource for when we're uninspired.

I'll post my cannabrownie recipe this week-end.

Can't wait to hear your recipes!

Really nice idea FrancisK7 !
I actually dont know any recipes but I would love seeing people post their own in here !
Just waiting ....

My recipe is really simple. It doesn't involve extracting into a fat but it works for me.

So, I use a vaporizer. I keep a coffee grinder specifically for my MJ and grind it up really fine and only vape it until it turns a golden color. I have a container I save my vaped remains in and I use that to cook with. I have no issues with fiber and by the time it gets to my mouth its in powder form anyway so I don't think it would create a problem with anyone that had fiber problems.

By the time I'm ready to make a batch of brownies, I've saved up about 30 grams of post-vape.

I just get a regular box of brownie mix. I've tried the gluten free brownie mix before but it turned out really dry despite the huge amount of coconut oil I used.

Anyway, follow the directions on the box. A typical box of brownies will call for vegetable oil and an egg. I like to use coconut oil instead. It's more stable to cook with, doesn't oxidize like vegetable oil, and it has all those yummy saturated fats to suck up all the awesomeness that the plant has to offer.

Once you've thrown in all the ingredients and your post-vape, add an extra 1/3 cup of coconut oil because adding in the post-vape will make the recipe very dry. You could add an extra egg instead to make it more fluffy but I like fudge-like brownies and the more coconut oil, the better.

Pour your brownie mix into a mini muffin tray. I like to use a mini muffin tray because it will make the brownies cook faster especially because you're going to be cooking at a temp much lower (280º) than what it states on the box.

Check the brownies in 20 minutes. If they aren't done, check again in another 10 minutes.

The brownies are going to taste like chocolate MM. Some people don't like the taste of MM but I think it's delicious. Sometimes I add ground up coffee for an added punch. But remember with each dry ingredient you add, the dryer your brownie will be, so you must add extra moisture via oil or egg.

So, that's my "recipe". Sorry if it's so chaotic and weird but it works for me! My little mini brownies are ultra potent. I've had a batch where I could only start off eating a quarter of a mini brownie at a time but by that time I had saved a mixture of several very potent strains of MM. I suggest no matter what quality of cannabis you are using, just start out small so you don't eat too much and have a bad time! Try a quarter first, then if it's not enough, next time eat half!

Thanks for starting this thread, FrancisK7. I'm sure you have much better methods of doing this than what I've shared here and I look forward to hopefully more people sharing their methods of cooking with cannabis.

Ctrl Z, funny you mention saving vaped remains because I started doing that a few weeks ago. I used to throw them out, and figured "why waste it?" There's really nothing chaotic in your recipe and since it'll similar to mine I'll be happy to document it for the CF folks.

I gotta say though my brownies are always more potent if I use the fat extraction method. Best way I found is in a crockpot, set on low, that cooks for 12 hours. The potency then is absolutely off the charts.

I'd like to try to do the fat extraction method. I tried it with vaped remains once and I don't think it worked out very well. I put the oil in capsules and they did not work for me at all :(

I'm pretty sure I did something wrong. I think maybe the oil got too hot or I should have used fresh stuff instead.

My first time I used oil too and the result was not satisfactory at all.

Butter works better. There is a chemical reason for this, which is fairly complex and not very interesting, so I'll spare you the details. :boring:

If you use butter as your medium and then the crockpot method I described above (12+ hours on low) it is a full dummy-proof method that you CANNOT miss.

I swear to you, after half a brownie you'll be totally painless and talking with the Asgards!

I love vaporizing but when I work it's a lot easier to eat 1/4 a brownie every 3-4 hours.

Interesting.

I am just starting to look into edibles, but know NOTHING about how to go about it. I can cook, so I'm not completely lost if terms are used, I just need some basics I guess to get started.

If you wouldn't mind posting up about your method in a little detail, that would be a great help.

I will be doing a cannabutter batch this week, I intent to share the entire method in pictures with you guys.
