Farm wife - when you hear the big drugs being mentioned it is like a bomb going off in your brain and firing in all directions ( well it was for me!), but humira and metho has worked so well for Lucy. Our syringes aren't pre filled so we have to draw it up ourselves - they don't come pre loaded...

Lucy had mouth ulcers biopsied at time of diagnosis when she was being scoped under ga. The GI came out to get consent on the day as the hadn't done it prior to her going in, he explained the what why etc but for the life of me I can't remember - I got such a fight when he came out to me I...

Parents of Young Ones Support Group

Lucy has a special needs assistant a resource shared between her and another student. Her role is to help Lucy if she is feeling unwell or tired and to assist her in the bathroom. It really is a great comfort to me. Lucy goes to a small rural school with just under 100 students so we pretty...

    Another update. x

Lucy has been taking mtx 7 months, she takes it orally once a week and is also on bi weekly humira shots. I was really concerned about the mtx because of its rep for causing nausea and general malaise. Lucy has had mouth ulcers on two ocassions but the were minor enough and cleared up without...

    Thalidomide?

I think I would let her try it (if it was still my choice) I think the unfortunate thing about this drug is that when it becomes an issue re the devadting side effects it will be no longer my choice. The side effects are avoidable by not getting pregnant so if somebody is really strict about...

    How do you their fatigue?

Really hope grace got through the night without pain. I know that tiredness you are talking about, I would get her iron levels checked and get the doc to have a look to make sure she's not incubating something but it's probably part and parcel of the disease. When Lucy is like this I just try...
