I finally heard from my doctor and got a prescription for the 2.5mg. It made. Huge difference and I am feeling much better.

Prednisone taper - mega headaches and sore muscles

Hi all - I’ve been tapering prednisone with no issues over the last two months until about a week ago. I was 3 days into 5mg and started getting headaches. I didn’t think much of it. Then, a few days ago, my taper went to no more prednisone. I started waking with headaches and have crankiness...

    Medical Marijuana and Prednisone

Hey cmack, I’m finally off prednisone. Hallelujah! MM made a big difference for me and getting sleep. Hopefully I’ll never have to be on prednisone again. But, if I do, I won’t hesitate to use MM to help me through it. Cheers! Joey

    Medical Marijuana and Prednisone

Thanks, everyone. I’m currently still sticking it out. I used to have a prescription and am considering getting it again. I finally started the prednisone taper and I think I may start sleeping better again. Not sure if I want to add another medication, herbal or otherwise, to the mix if I don’t...

    Medical Marijuana and Prednisone

Does anybody have experience using medical marijuana while taking prednisone? Will it help with insomnia or the edginess from prednisone?

Concerned Parent - Need guidance in steps to diagnosis

There's a lot of helpful info in this thread. Since my last post, I eliminated all dairy from his diet, not just the morning dairy. So far, so good. I'm following up with the doctor in a week. If my son has any pain still, we're going through all the tests mentioned above.

Concerned Parent - Need guidance in steps to diagnosis

Thanks for the replies so far. Is there a test for lactose intolerance other than just observing the pain when he has milk products?

Concerned Parent - Need guidance in steps to diagnosis

Hi Everyone. I'm writing in about my 8 year old son who has long suffered from severe abdominal pain in the mornings. I started a food journal for him and that led me to remove dairy in the mornings. That was working for about 10 days and now the pain is back. Red flags go up because I have...

    Prednisone vs Entocort

Hi Hershey. They're not really comparable. Entocort is not systemic. I'm on 9mg a day and don't notice any side effects. Joey

    Took my pills late?

My nonprofessional opinion: you're fine. I don't think budesonide is that time specific. I take 9mg of it every morning. Some does I sleep in, and the timing is more than 2 1/2 hours difference.

    Broken bone and remicade

I received Remicade a couple weeks ago when I have a freshly broken rib. No problems.

    Newly diagnosed and introducing myself

Hello and welcome! The MRE is a piece of cake. I don't enjoy the liquid that is required to drink with the procedure. There's about 3 liters of it and the taste is not pleasant. After that, they hook up an IV if they are using contrast. Then, you lay down in the tube and relax while they take...

Stored my Humira in fridge inside styrofoam. Still usable?

The 1-800 number is really helpful. They'll give you the final word on that.

What is a good probiotic to take for IBD

My GI gave me samples for a few probiotics. Florastor worked for me so I still take it. The only downside is that it costs a little of $30 a month.

    Remicade Club Support Group

I never got sick when I was on Humira. I'm extra careful about germs. But, I can't do much about it when my kid gets sick, comes in my room when I'm sleeping, and rub his germy head all over my pillow. Maybe, you are just being the right kind of careful?

    Crohnie phoney?

Sometimes I get weird forms of sympathy from friends. Like, "I have IBS and it is bad. But, my doctor tells me to be happy it's not Crohn's, because that's way worse." I've gotten many forms of statements like that, either directly or comments made to my wife. She says that they're just being...

    Remicade Club Support Group

Hey ZombiePenguin. I guess I'm hanging out on this thread today. I'm still at every 8 weeks for the Remicade, but now am supplementing that with Entocort. I still get D sometimes, but no pain anymore. I also get more colds than I want because Remicade+kid in kindergarten does that.

Hey SunshineSam. It's an easy procedure and usually makes you feel a lot better. Be ready for a nice nap. I get my Remicade in Orlando, too. Good luck today!

    Bitter to be joining

Hi and welcome! I started Remicade a month ago and am happy I did. I had to fail on Humira before my insurance would approve it. So far, I've notice a big improvement in my quality of life.

Coffee lover switching to tea - what's in your cup?

Thanks. Maybe I'll get some mint growing again. Sounds easy.
